The Life I’ve Been Sold – Pages 5-8

And we’re back with another week of cyber thriller action!

As many have already noted, this week marked the closing out of Zuda’s slush pile and I was among that group. It’s an unfortunate thing, but one I was well-prepared for. I wish them luck on whatever it is they’re going to be doing. After waiting 7 months for a reply, I had pretty much assumed that Mourning Electric would not be continuing on as a weekly with DC.

However, that means I can do pretty much whatever I want with it, so it’s going to be getting it’s own site. I’m working on getting a back-stock of pages finished for it so that I can release it this fall before Long Beach.

Pages 5-8 are available today, with 4 pages being posted next Wednesday and the one after that. Go check it out!.

Make sure to check back next Wednesday for the exciting continuation!

The Life I’ve Been Sold – Pages 1-4

The time has finally come to offer up a new comic for your enjoyment. I’m excited to say this is the culmination of progress so far in my 100 Days project. We’re currently at day 46 of the project, just shy of halfway. May the next 54 be just as exciting!

Now then, go on and take a gander at the comic. Pages 1-4 are available today, as the subject implies, with 4 pages being posted every Wednesday until July 7th (total of 16 pages for you kids keeping score at home).

I’ve also taken the liberty of redoing my Comics page for easier access. Take a peek!

Make sure to check back next Wednesday for the exciting continuation!

100 Days Day 22-28

This 100 Days thing has been an excellent motivator and also a delightfully nonstop source of guilt at the AMOUNT of work I’m getting done. Things like the day job and life keep getting in the way of my desire to work 16 hour comic days. But in good news, I’ve put on about 15 lbs of muscle and lost 3 lbs of fat in the last few weeks. Apparently there really is something to be said for a regular workout regimen.

But enough talkin, you came here for close up teaser pictures of comics right? My first pass of inks are below, no spot blacks yet.

Note the abstract artwork going on around my ink well, i could probably sell it for more than my comics to some guy in New York

pointing action!

Here Jacob sardonically points at a Wave screen. Also I forgot to ink Molly’s eyebrows :(

anger!

Jacob, having some emotions. This was a very line-weight intensive page so it took a while to get through

shame!

A moment of confusion and shame, another heavy line weight page

Wizard World Anaheim, April 16-18

I have an appearance this weekend at Wizard World Anaheim. It’ll be good times with all my small press buddies!

We’ll be selling stuff for Goodbye Blue Monday and Pins N Needles, so you should come by and say helloooo. It is important to me that you emphasize the oooo on that.

We’re at table 1065 with our good buddy Zen. He will have comics about hot broads in pink. I know you much you people love that shit.

COME N SEEEE

You better come or ELSE OR ELSE

I’d also like to announce that, while Zuda is deliberating over the fate of my dear Mourning Electric, I’ve decided to embark on a new minicomic sidestory. How exciting is that huh? A sidestory for a comic you’ve never read! Woooo. Check back next week for an update!

And lastly, if you’re a Fringe fan, go check out my Fringe comics on Twitter. They are an excellent waste of 5 minutes.

Up, up, and crap I forgot to watch

My good buddy Henry and fellow comic-dude loaned me a dvd of the Richard Donner cut of Superman 2. I would love to regail you with my illustrious insights and my hard-edged critiques, but I totally forgot to look up when I watched it because I was busy drawing. So maybe I’ll do that when I watch it again later.

For now, mark your calendars, for this is one of the very few times you will see superheros on my website. Mainly because Lindsey berates me for hours when I draw them.

Evil works better in a dicky little ascot

Kneel before Zod… Zod, kneel before him

hot broad holdup

I’m sure that scene is a male power fantasy but I still find it attractive
