Finally back in town for a few weeks and thankful for it. Over the weekend, I found out that Zuda said “not so much” to the entry I sent in back in June.

Thinking over it, I’m not too upset. I think it’s got a great story, but it might not be the best for that format and I’d like to give it another shot in a medium where I could give it the pacing it deserved. Maybe a single trade or something along that length. It’s important for the first part of the story to be slow and deliberate, as the characters are faced with situations where the timeline is out of their control and impatience is a big part of the emotional landscape.

Whew, that sounded pretentious.

I’m going to set it aside for a bit while I shore up my next submission, but for now you can check out the whole 8 page epic right here!
